Niederroßla ist ein Ortsteil der Landgemeinde Ilmtal-Weinstraße im Landkreis Weimarer Land . Niederroßla wird im Volksmund auch „Kitzelbach“ genannt. Bekannt ist Niederroßla für sein Elefantenfest.
Niederroßla liegt nordwestlich der Stadt Apolda an der Ilm und im Ackerbaugebiet des Thüringer Beckens in der Nähe der Bundesstraße 87.
