Kirchzarten ist eine Gemeinde und ein gleichnamiges Dorf im Südschwarzwald im Landkreis Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg mit über 9800 Einwohnern.
Die im Verdichtungsraum Freiburg im Breisgau zentral in der Talebene des Dreisamtals gelegene Gemeinde befindet sich im Naturpark Südschwarzwald. Sie grenzt östlich an die Gemeinde Freiburg. Ihr Kernort wird vom Zastler Bach durchflossen und südwestlich von der ebenfalls zur Dreisam fließenden Brugga passiert.
