Geislingen ist eine Stadt im Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland, etwa 60 Kilometer südlich von Stuttgart und drei Kilometer westlich der Kreisstadt Balingen.
Geislingen liegt auf den Platten der untersten Liasstufe, in einer Mulde des Riedbachtals. Ein großer Teil des Stadtgebietes gehört zu dem als Kleiner Heuberg bezeichneten Ausschnitt des Schwäbisches Keuper-Lias-Land. Im Norden und Nordwesten greift es in den Keuperwald hinein. Die steilen Talhänge der oberen Stunzach, welcher der Nordwestgrenze in etwa folgt, sind tief in den mittleren Keuper eingeschnitten. Eine als landwirtschaftlich geltende wertvolle untere Liasstufe breitet sich um die Stadtteile Binsdorf und Erlaheim aus. Darüber steigt, zum Teil bewaldet, es zu einem unruhigen und offenen Gelände wieder an.
