Lübtheen ist eine Landstadt im Landkreis Ludwigslust-Parchim in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Sie liegt in der Metropolregion Hamburg und erfüllt für ihre Umgebung die Funktionen eines Grundzentrums . Sie trägt den Beinamen „Lindenstadt“.
Lübtheen liegt in der Metropolregion Hamburg im Südwesten Mecklenburgs, knapp 13 Kilometer von der Elbe entfernt, in das Biosphärenreservat Flusslandschaft Elbe eingebettet. Die Sude und Rögnitz durchfließen das Stadtgebiet. Städte in der Umgebung sind Ludwigslust, Boizenburg und Schwerin.
