Lübtheen è una città di campagna nel distretto di Ludwigslust-Parchim nel Meclemburgo-Pomerania Settentrionale. Si trova nella regione metropolitana di Amburgo e svolge per il suo territorio le funzioni di un centro primario. Porta il soprannome di "Città dei tigli".
Lübtheen si trova nella regione metropolitana di Amburgo nel sud-ovest del Meclemburgo, a poco meno di 13 chilometri dall'Elba, immersa nel riserva della biosfera Paesaggio fluviale dell'Elba. I fiumi Sude e Rögnitz attraversano l'area urbana. Le città vicine sono Ludwigslust, Boizenburg e Schwerin.
