Borgentreich ist eine ostwestfälische Kleinstadt im Kreis Höxter im Osten von Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. In Borgentreich, das sich auf einer Fläche von rund 139 km² erstreckt, leben etwa 8500 Einwohner. Für den heutigen Ortsnamen Borgentreich gibt es folgende historische Bezeichnungen: Berentreiche, Bogentrike, Borgentrike, Borgetrik. Im Niederdeutschen wird der Ort auch als Borgentrike bezeichnet. Seit dem 24. Juli 2012 trägt Borgentreich offiziell den Titel „Orgelstadt“.
