Der Landkreis Lörrach ist ein Landkreis im äußersten Südwesten des Bundeslandes Baden-Württemberg . Er gehört zum Regierungsbezirk Freiburg und zum Regionalverband Hochrhein-Bodensee.
Das Wiesental als nordöstlicher Teil des Landkreises gehört zum Hochschwarzwald und zieht sich hoch bis zum Feldberg, dem höchsten Berg des Schwarzwaldes. Im Westen erheben sich die Weinberge des Markgräfler Hügellandes, im Süden der Dinkelberg. Zwischen Dinkelberg und Schweizer Jura zieht sich das Hochrheintal nach Westen und weitet sich nach Basel nordwärts zur Oberrheinischen Tiefebene aus.
