Gieboldehausen ist ein Flecken und der Sitz der Samtgemeinde Gieboldehausen im Landkreis Göttingen in Südniedersachsen .
Gieboldehausen liegt ungefähr 11 Kilometer nördlich von Duderstadt und 22 Kilometer östlich von Göttingen am nördlichen Rand des Untereichsfeldes. Die Gemarkung befindet sich am Zusammenfluss von Hahle und Rhume am Rande der Goldenen Mark. Nördlich und östlich verläuft der Höhenzug des Rotenbergs , im Südosten beginnen die nördlichen Ausläufer der Hellberge . Am nördlichen Ortsrand liegt das Naturschutzgebiet Rhumeaue/Ellerniederung/Gillersheimer Bachtal.
