Neresheim ist eine Stadt im Ostalbkreis im Osten von Baden-Württemberg, ein staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort, am Fuße der auf dem Ulrichsberg gelegenen Abtei Neresheim, einer der bedeutendsten Kirchenbauten des Spätbarocks.
Neresheim liegt im Herzen des Härtsfelds, zwischen Aalen und Nördlingen im östlichsten Teil der Schwäbischen Alb. In und nahe Neresheim entspringt in mehreren Quellen das Flüsschen Egau, das nach etwa 40 km bei Dillingen in die Donau fließt.
