Markt Bibart ist ein Markt im Landkreis Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Mittelfranken. Markt Bibart ist Mitglied der Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Scheinfeld.
Der Ort wurde 816 als „Bibaroth“ erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Der Ortsname leitet sich von einem gleichlautenden Flurnamen ab, dessen Grundwort ōdi und Bestimmungswort bibar ist. Der Flurname bezeichnet also eine öde Gegend, in der auffällig viele Biber vorzufinden waren. Diese Ersterwähnung findet sich in der Gründungsurkunde des Benediktinerklosters Megingaudshausen. Erwogen wurde auch die Ableitung des Ortsnamens von ach mit Anlehnung der zweiten Silbe an den Personennamenbestandteil -bert. 1457 begegnet dann die Bezeichnung Markt, die in der mundartlichen Aussprache jedoch keine Berücksichtigung findet.
