Der Ort liegt an der L 532/ B 45, landschaftlich reizvoll zwischen den Höhen des Odenwalds und dem Kraichgauer Hügelland in 127 bis 327 Meter Höhe, 15 km östlich von Heidelberg gelegen. Durch das Dorf fließt der Biddersbach. Es wird auch Tor vom Kleinen Odenwald zum Kraichgau genannt.
Die Gemeinde grenzt im Norden an die Stadt Neckargemünd, im Osten an Lobbach, im Süden an Mauer und im Westen an Bammental.
