Breisach am Rhein ist eine Stadt am Oberrhein an der deutsch-französischen Grenze auf halbem Weg zwischen Colmar und Freiburg im Breisgau und jeweils etwa 60 Kilometer nördlich von Basel und südlich von Straßburg. Sie liegt nahe am Kaiserstuhl. Eine Rheinbrücke für den Straßenverkehr führt nach Volgelsheim auf französischer Seite.
