Die Wahnbachtalsperre liegt in Siegburg-Seligenthal im nordrhein-westfälischen Rhein-Sieg-Kreis und dient der Trinkwasserversorgung. Der Stausee wird vorwiegend durch den Wahnbach gespeist.
Die Talsperre und die Trinkwasserversorgung wurden am 28. April 1958 vom damaligen Ministerpräsidenten Fritz Steinhoff in Betrieb genommen. Der am 12. Juni 1953 gegründete Wahnbachtalsperrenverband versorgt mehr als 780.000 Einwohner in der Bundesstadt Bonn, im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis und im Landkreis Ahrweiler mit Trinkwasser, wobei dies aber auch teilweise durch Grundwasser aus dem unteren Siegbereich geschieht.
