Die GLS Gemeinschaftsbank gehört dem Bundesverband der Deutschen Volksbanken und Raiffeisenbanken und dessen Sicherungseinrichtung an. Ihre Zentrale befindet sich in Bochum, Niederlassungen gibt es in München, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart, Freiburg im Breisgau und Berlin.
