Das Unternehmen LEITZ ACCO Brands GmbH & Co KG mit Stammsitz in Stuttgart gehört seit 2016 zum ACCO-Konzern. Der Leitz-Ordner wurde allgemein bekannt als Synonym für Aktenordner.
Der Betrieb wurde 1871 vom Mechaniker und Faktura-Bücherfabrikanten Louis Leitz unter der Firmierung Werkstätte zur Herstellung von Metallteilen für Ordnungsmittel gegründet. Industrialisierung und wachsende Bürokratisierung führten zu immer mehr Schriftverkehr, der eine moderne Lösung forderte, Papiere nicht nur abzulegen, sondern auch zu ordnen.
