Die Stadtkirche Darmstadt ist die evangelische Hauptkirche Darmstadts und eine der Pfarrkirchen der Stadt. Sie ist außerdem das älteste Kirchengebäude der Kernstadt. Die Lilie im Darmstädter Stadtwappen verweist noch heute auf die ursprüngliche Weihe der Kirche an die Jungfrau Maria. 1526 wurde die Kirche im Zuge der Reformation evangelisch-lutherisch konfessioniert. Ihre heutige Baugestalt resultiert aus Umbauten, Erweiterungen und Zerstörungen und spiegelt die Stadtgeschichte wider.
Die Stadtkirche liegt etwa 200 Meter südlich des Darmstädter Schlosses. Durch ihre Lage am City-Ring markiert sie heute das östliche Ende der Darmstädter Fußgängerzone. Der südwestlich des Turmes gelegene Stadtkirchplatz mit zahlreichen Cafés und Restaurants hat sich zu einem kulinarischen Zentrum der Stadt entwickelt.
