Der Wetzlarer Dom, auch Dom Unserer Lieben Frau, ist eines der Wahrzeichen von Wetzlar und gleichzeitig größter Sakralbau der Stadt. Die ehemalige Stifts- und heutige Pfarrkirche ist dem Marienpatrozinium unterstellt. Sie ist keine Kathedrale im eigentlichen Sinne, da sie nie Sitz eines Bischofs war. Die Bezeichnung Dom setzte sich Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts durch, nachdem der Kurtrierer Erzbischof Karl Kaspar von der Leyen 1671 auch das Amt des Stiftspropstes übernommen hatte. Der Dom zu Wetzlar ist heute die älteste Simultankirche im Bereich der Evangelischen Kirche im Rheinland und gehört zu den ältesten Kirchen in Deutschland, die von Katholiken und Protestanten gemeinsam genutzt werden.
