Die Nordwestbahn GmbH ist ein privates Eisenbahnverkehrsunternehmen, das seit dem Jahr 2000 im Auftrag verschiedener Aufgabenträger Schienenpersonennahverkehr auf Haupt- und Nebenstrecken in Nordwest- und Westdeutschland betreibt. Derzeit umfasst das Verkehrsnetz der Nordwestbahn 12 Linien mit etwa 1.000 Streckenkilometern. Die Nordwestbahn befördert mit mehr als 700 Mitarbeitern jährlich etwa 22 Millionen Fahrgäste. Sie ist ein Tochterunternehmen der Transdev GmbH, Berlin.
