Das Hochstift Paderborn, auch als Fürstbistum oder zeitgenössisch als Stift Paderborn bezeichnet, war ein Ständestaat und geistliches Territorium des Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation im östlichen Westfalen, das sich im Hochmittelalter herausgebildet hat und bis zur Neuzeit 1802/03 bestand. Es war der weltliche Herrschaftsbereich der Fürstbischöfe von Paderborn. Im Gegensatz dazu steht der größere Bereich der kirchlichen Diözese, der geistliche Seelsorgebereich des Bistums Paderborn. Seit dem 16. Jahrhundert war das Stift Teil des Niederrheinisch-Westfälischen Reichskreises.
