Das KZ Ravensbrück war das größte Konzentrationslager für Frauen im sogenannten deutschen Altreich zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus. Es wurde 1938/1939 durch die Schutzstaffel in der Gemeinde Ravensbrück im Norden der Provinz Brandenburg errichtet.
Gemeinsam mit dem in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft liegenden Männerlager, Industriebetrieben, dem KZ Uckermark für Mädchen und junge Frauen und dem Siemenslager Ravensbrück bildete das KZ Ravensbrück einen Lagerkomplex. Darüber hinaus existierte eine Vielzahl von KZ-Außenlagern, siehe Liste der Außenlager des KZ Ravensbrück.
