Die AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, kurz SL ist die Nahverkehrsgesellschaft des Großraums Stockholm. Sie fungiert als die Managementgesellschaft des Aufgabenträgers, der Provinz Stockholms län. Sie ist in dieser Provinz verantwortlich für die U-Bahn , die Straßenbahnen, die Lokalbahnen, die S-Bahn-ähnlichen Vorortzüge und die Buslinien. Dabei hält SL Infrastruktur und Fahrzeuge vor und ist für die Planung und Vermarktung des Verkehrsangebots verantwortlich. Die eigentliche Betriebsdurchführung wird von SL per Ausschreibung an Privatunternehmen vergeben.
Die Buchstaben von der Liniennummern dienen nur der Unterscheidung der unterschiedlichen Verkehrsträger und werden bspw. an den Fahrzeugen nicht angeschrieben, aber im Schienennetzplan der SL verwendet.
