Die Bode ist ein 169 km langer, westlicher und linker Zufluss der Saale in Sachsen-Anhalt. Sie entspringt mit zwei Quellflüssen im Harz, fließt im Landkreis Harz, Landkreis Börde, Salzlandkreis und mündet bei Nienburg.
Die beiden Quellflüsse der Bode, Kalte und Warme Bode, entspringen im Landkreis Harz im Hochharz. Sie entwässern ein Gebiet südlich des Brockens , des höchsten Harzberges:
