El Bode es un afluente de 169 km de longitud, occidental y por la izquierda del Saale en Sachsen-Anhalt. Nace con dos ríos fuente en el Harz, fluye por el distrito de Harz, el distrito de Börde, el distrito de Salzland y desemboca en Nienburg.
Los dos ríos fuente del Bode, Kalte y Warme Bode, nacen en el distrito de Harz en el Alto Harz. Drenan un área al sur del Brocken, la montaña más alta del Harz:
