Sydow ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Wust-Fischbeck im Landkreis Stendal im Bundesland Sachsen-Anhalt. Die Landesgrenze zu Brandenburg verläuft unmittelbar nördlich und östlich der Gemarkung Sydow.
Ein hier ansässiges Adelsgeschlecht erscheint urkundlich erstmals im Jahre 1259 mit Heinrich de Sidow als Marschall des Markgrafen Otto von Brandenburg. Der Ort ist damit Stammsitz des bis heute existierenden Uradelsgeschlechts von Sydow. Der Ortsteil Sydow wurde erstmals in dem von 1370 bis 1400 zusammengestellten Lehnsregister des Erzbischofs von Magdeburg als Sydowe und Zidow erwähnt.
