Die Gennach ist der längste Fluss des Ostallgäus sowie der längste Nebenfluss der Wertach mit einer Länge von 47 km.
Ihr Einzugsgebiet liegt im Regierungsbezirk Schwaben in Bayern . Die Quelle der Gennach ist am Fenenberg bei Bernbach . Die Gennach ist ein Gewässer der II. Ordnung ab dem Zusammenfluss des Hauptflusses und des bis dahin längeren Hühnerbaches bei Ummenhofen , der seinen Ursprung in der Nähe von Rettenbach am Auerberg hat. Sie durchfließt 11 Gemeinden und die Stadt Buchloe sowie das Stadtgebiet Schwabmünchen, in dem die Gennach in Wertachau in die Wertach mündet.
