Haiger ist eine Kleinstadt im nördlichen Teil des mittelhessischen Lahn-Dill-Kreises und liegt zwischen den Städten Wetzlar und Siegen.
Haiger liegt am östlichen Rand des Westerwalds bzw. an den südlichen Ausläufern des Rothaargebirges etwa neun Kilometer nordöstlich des Dreiländerecks Hessen–Nordrhein-Westfalen–Rheinland-Pfalz und ist zugleich die flächenmäßig größte, aber nach Einwohnerzahlen viertgrößte nach Wetzlar, Dillenburg, Herborn und nördlichste Stadt im Lahn-Dill-Kreis. Nördlich des Ortsteils Offdilln entspringt die Dill, nördlich des Gewerbe- und Industriegebiets „Haiger-Kalteiche“ entspringt die Heller. In Haiger mündet der Aubach und der Haigerbach in die Dill.
