Elgato Systems ist ein deutscher Hersteller von Unterhaltungselektronik mit Sitz in München. Überregional bekannt wurde Elgato durch die 2002 gestartete Produktlinie EyeTV, die Fernsehen auf den Mac und andere Geräte übertrug. Elgato erhielt dafür zahlreiche Preise und wurde von Medien als Marktführer in diesem Bereich eingestuft. Das Unternehmen produziert zum Beispiel Hard- und Software für intelligentes Wohnen. Elgato wurde im Juli 2018 von Corsair übernommen und bleibt dort als eigenständige Marke erhalten.
1992 gründete Markus Fest das Unternehmen als „Miles Information Systems GmbH“. Er wurde zunächst vor allem für die CD-Recording-Software Toast bekannt, die später an Adaptec beziehungsweise Roxio verkauft wurde. 2002 erschien mit EyeTV erstmals ein Produkt unter der Marke Elgato. EyeTV erregte breite mediale Rezeption, machte das Unternehmen bekannt und entwickelte sich zum wichtigsten Produkt des Unternehmens. Seit 2003 heißt das Unternehmen „Elgato Systems GmbH“.
