Neunburg vorm Wald ist eine Stadt im Landkreis Schwandorf im bayerischen Regierungsbezirk Oberpfalz. Die Stadt an der Schwarzach hat mehr als 8000 Einwohner und ist ein herausragender Wirtschaftsstandort und Mittelzentrum im Landkreis Schwandorf. Neunburg vorm Wald ist Sitz der Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Neunburg vorm Wald.
Die im Naturpark Oberpfälzer Wald und in der Nähe des Eixendorfer Sees gelegene Stadt feierte 2017 ihr tausendjähriges Stadtjubiläum. Bekannt ist sie für die denkmalgeschützte historische Altstadt mit dem Alten Schloss und für das jährlich stattfindende Freilicht-Festspiel „Vom Hussenkrieg“. Zudem wurde 1997 mit dem Neunburger Memorandum die Vereinigung der Städte mit hussitischer Geschichte und Tradition gegründet, der heute 18 Städte in Tschechien und Deutschland angehören.
