Kurfürst Erzbischof Clemens August von Köln ließ einst eine Jagdkapelle für die Fürstbischöfe von Köln auf diesem Platz errichten. Sie dienten für umfangreiche liturgische Zwecke während ausgedehnter Jagden. Heute ist nur noch ein Gedenkstein erhalten. Um nicht zu vergessen, wurde 2004 eine neue Kapelle daneben gebaut. Eine kleine Allee mit einjährigen Bäumen führt zum Platz.
Wanderer, die ein paar Minuten in der Kapelle verbringen müssen, können dort Kerzen für eine kleine Spende anzünden.
