Der Kreis Stormarn ist ein Kreis im Land Schleswig-Holstein mit Sitz in Bad Oldesloe. Er gehört zur Metropolregion Hamburg.
Der Kreis Stormarn grenzt im Norden an den Kreis Segeberg, im Nordosten an den Kreis Ostholstein und an die kreisfreie Stadt Lübeck, im Osten und Süden an den Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg und im Westen an die Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg. Stormarn ist einer der sechs nördlichen Randkreise in Schleswig-Holstein, die zusammen mit den acht südlichen Randkreisen in Niedersachsen, den zwei östlichen Randkreisen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und der Hansestadt Hamburg die Metropolregion Hamburg bilden.
