Die Region Stuttgart ist eine von zwölf Raumordnungs- und Planungsregionen in Baden-Württemberg. Sie umfasst die Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart und die fünf Landkreise Böblingen, Esslingen, Göppingen, Ludwigsburg und Rems-Murr-Kreis mit insgesamt 179 Städten und Gemeinden.
Die Region Stuttgart erstreckt sich von Nordwesten nach Südosten 90 Kilometer und von Südwesten nach Nordosten 80 Kilometer auf einer Fläche von 3.654 Quadratkilometern. Der geographische Mittelpunkt der Region liegt nach Berechnungen des Landesvermessungsamts Baden-Württemberg im Süden des Landkreises Rems-Murr wenige Hundert Meter östlich des Teilortes Weinstadt-Strümpfelbach in einem Weinberg. Ein nach der Rebflurreform gesetzter großer Findling – der sogenannte Vogelstein – liegt zufällig fast genau im regionalen Mittelpunkt.
