Ettingshausen ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Reiskirchen im mittelhessischen Landkreis Gießen. Es hat rund 1.900 Einwohner und ist der südlichste und schon zur Wetterau zählende Ortsteil von Reiskirchen.
Die älteste bekannte schriftliche Erwähnung des Orts erfolgte unter dem Namen Ytinshusen am 4. April 1286 in einer Klosterurkunde. Wahrscheinlich existierte der Ort aber schon länger. Eine frühe Besiedlung beweisen Hügelgräber aus der Bronzezeit in der näheren Umgebung. In erhaltenen Urkunden späterer Zeit wurde Ettingshausen in wechselnder Schreibweise des Ortsnamens erwähnt : Ittenshusen , Ittinshusin , Ittingishusin , Ittüngißhußenn und Öttingshaußen .
