Das Folketing [ˈfɔlkə.tɪŋ] ist das Parlament Dänemarks. Seit 1953 besteht es aus einer Kammer mit 179 Abgeordneten. Davon werden je zwei „nordatlantische“ Abgeordnete in den beiden anderen Ländern des Königreichs Dänemark gewählt: auf den Färöer-Inseln und in Grönland. Bei der Verteilung der 175 dänischen Mandate gilt eine Zwei-Prozent-Hürde, die aber durch ein errungenes Kreismandat umgangen werden kann.
