Burgohondo ist ein Ort und eine zentralspanische Gemeinde mit nur noch 1.195 Einwohnern in der Provinz Ávila in der Autonomen Gemeinschaft Kastilien-León.Der ca. 850 m hoch gelegene Ort Burgohondo liegt am Bach Garganta de Navalacruz ca. 1 km nördlich des Río Alberche am Rand der nördlichen Ausläufer der Sierra de Gredos knapp 38 km südlich der Provinzhauptstadt Ávila; die Stadt Madrid ist etwa 115 km in östlicher Richtung entfernt. Das Klima im Winter ist kalt, im Sommer dagegen gemäßigt bis warm; der spärliche Regen fällt verteilt übers ganze Jahr.
