Alcalá de la Selva ist eine Gemeinde und Ortschaft in Spanien in der Provinz Teruel, in der autonomen Gemeinschaft Aragón. Sie gehört zur Region Gúdar-Javalambre und hat eine Bevölkerung von 352 Einwohnern. In ihrem Gemeindegebiet liegt die Ortschaft La Virgen de la Vega.
Der Name Alcalá stammt vom arabischen al-qalat, „die Burg“,[3] und bezieht sich darauf, dass Alfons II. der Fromme das Dorf im 12. Jahrhundert an die Mönche von Santa María de la Selva Mayor verschenkte, möglicherweise einem Militärorden mit Ursprung in einem französischen Kloster.
