Der Platz Major ist einer der wichtigsten Plätze in Palma. Er wird von der Straße Sant Miquel, der Straße Rubí und der Straße Sindicat umgeben. Er befindet sich nur wenige Meter von anderen bedeutenden Denkmälern wie der Kirche Sant Miquel und dem Principal Theater entfernt.
Der Raum, den der Platz Major in Palma einnimmt, ist der des ehemaligen Klosters Sant Felip Neri und einiger benachbarter Häuser. Er hat einen rechteckigen Grundriss und ein verglastes Portikus, über dem Gebäude mit drei oder vier Etagen emporragen.
