Das Parlament der Balearischen Inseln ist gemäß dem Statut die Vertretung des Volkes der Inseln. Neben der Ausübung der legislativen Gewalt genehmigt es die Haushalte, kontrolliert die Regierung und wählt zudem den Präsidenten der Balearischen Inseln.
Es hat seinen Sitz in der Calle del Conqueridor in Palma, im Gebäude des ehemaligen Círculo Mallorquín. Die Präsidentschaft wird seit dem 20. Juni 2019 von Vicenç Thomàs i Mulet innegehalten.
