Die Zuganschläge in der spanischen Hauptstadt Madrid waren eine Serie von zehn durch islamistische Terroristen ausgelösten Bombenexplosionen am Morgen des 11. März 2004 , drei Tage vor den spanischen Parlamentswahlen. 193 Menschen starben und 2051 wurden verletzt, 82 davon schwer.
Drei Wochen später, am 3. April 2004, sprengte sich der mutmaßliche Rädelsführer Serhane Ben Abdelmajid bei einer Razzia in einem Vorort von Madrid in die Luft. Dabei starben sechs seiner Komplizen und ein Polizist, 15 Polizisten wurden verletzt. Die Anschläge galten Ende April 2004 als nahezu aufgeklärt. Auch der Tatverdächtige Jamal Ahmidan konnte unter den toten Terroristen identifiziert werden.
