Das sumpfige Ebrodelta befindet sich an der Mündung des Flusses Ebro ins Mittelmeer im Süden der autonomen Region Katalonien in Nordostspanien.
Das Flussdelta in Form eines Dreiecks ragt ca. 20 km in die Costa Daurada. Geteilt durch den Ebro liegt der nördliche Teil in der Comarca Baix Ebre, der südliche Teil in der Comarca Montsià. Im äußersten Osten, unmittelbar vor der Mündung des Flusses in das Mittelmeer, bildet der Ebro und ein Seitenarm die Insel Illa de Buda. Mit einer Fläche von 12,3 km² ist es die größte Insel des katalanischen Festlandes. Im Süden ist die Insel la Banya über eine Sandbank mit dem Delta verbunden. Wie ein Flügel ragt im Norden die Halbinsel Punta del Fangar mit ihren Wanderdünen in den Golf de Sant Jordi. Die Stadt Amposta bildet den Zugang zum Delta, in dessen Zentrum sich die Gemeinde Deltebre befindet.
