Die Belagerung von Lérida war eines der Ereignisse im Spanischen Erbfolgekrieg, das am 12. Oktober 1707 stattfand.
In der Erwartung, dass Karl II. von Spanien ohne Nachkommen sterben würde, schlugen die wichtigsten europäischen Mächte den Kurfürsten von Bayern als Erben vor, was zu einer entsprechenden Verteilung der Besitztümer zwischen diesen Mächten führte. Doch dieser stirbt, und Karl II. benennt in seinem letzten Testament, das er vor seinem Tod verfasst hat, Philipp von Anjou zu seinem Nachfolger. Philipp tritt am 2. Oktober in Barcelona ein, und die Cortes schließen schließlich am 14. Januar 1702 mit dem Eid auf die katalanischen Verfassungen durch den König.
