Die Burg zu Turku geht auf das späte 13. Jahrhundert zurück und ist das größte erhaltene mittelalterliche Gebäude Finnlands. Die Burg besteht in ihrer heutigen Form aus einer mittelalterlichen Hauptburg und einer Vorburg aus der Renaissance-Ära. Sie liegt unweit des Hafens an der Mündung des Aurajoki auf der nördlichen Seite des Flusses.
