Umgeben wird Magny von den Nachbargemeinden Sauvigny-les-Bois im Norden und Nordwesten, Sceaux im Nordosten, Cussy-les-Forges im Osten, Saint-Brancher im Süden und Südosten, Saint-Germain-des-Champs im Süden und Südwesten sowie Avallon im Westen.
