Im Herzen des Ecrins-Massivs hat das Dorf La Grave (1450m) seine Stein- und Schieferhäuser an einem sonnigen Hang gegenüber dem imposanten Gipfel der Meije mit seinen 3983 m Höhe errichtet. La Grave ist ein Etappendorf auf dem GR 54.
