Uzès ist eine Kleinstadt und eine Gemeinde mit 8.387 Einwohnern im südfranzösischen Département Gard in der Region Okzitanien. Uzès gehörte zur historischen Region Septimanien.Uzès liegt auf einem ca. 145 m hohen Kalksteinplateau in einem Dreieck, das von den Städten Alès , Avignon und Nîmes gebildet wird. Durch das Gemeindegebiet fließt der Alzon. Das Klima ist gemäßigt warm; Regen fällt übers ganze Jahr verteilt.
