Umgeben wird Plélan-le-Petit von den Nachbargemeinden Saint-Michel-de-Plélan im Norden, Saint-Maudez im Nordosten, La Landec im Osten, Languédias im Süden und Südosten, Mégrit im Süden und Südwesten sowie Saint-Méloir-des-Bois im Westen und Nordwesten.
