Die Maas (französisch: Meuse) ist ein Fluss in Westeuropa. Da sie hauptsächlich durch Regenwasser gespeist wird, kann der Wasserstand stark variieren. Der Fluss fließt durch Frankreich, Belgien und die Niederlande. In den Niederlanden ist die Maas der südlichste der großen Flüsse.
Die Maas entspringt in Frankreich in Pouilly-en-Bassigny auf dem Plateau von Langres, einem wichtigen Wasserscheide; die Quellflüsse der Seine und der Marne liegen hier ebenfalls. Der Fluss durchquert die französischen und belgischen Ardennen in nördlicher Richtung. Dabei passiert sie Verdun und Sedan, ab wo sie schiffbar ist. In Givet, südlich von Dinant, überquert sie die Grenze zu Belgien.
