Der künstliche See von Verney wurde im Rahmen der Wasserkraftentwicklung von Grand' Maison gebaut. Mit der stärksten Staumauer Frankreichs wurde er 1985 in Betrieb genommen und besteht aus 2 Wasserreservoirs. Das Reservoir von Verney sammelt das Wasser, das bereits durch die Turbinen des Werks von Grand' Maison geflossen ist, das Sie am Ende des Tals sehen werden, bevor Sie den Anstieg nach Vaujany beginnen.
