Wittenheim ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 14.776 Einwohnern im Département Haut-Rhin in der Region Grand Est . Sie gehört zum Arrondissement Mulhouse und ist Hauptort des gleichnamigen Kantons.
Die durch den Kalibergbau geprägte Stadt Wittenheim liegt nur wenige Kilometer nordwestlich von Mülhausen. Bei Wittenheim bestand einst das Kloster Schönensteinbach. Das Ortswappen verweist auf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zu Vorderösterreich.
