Renty ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 598 Einwohnern im Département Pas-de-Calais in der Region Hauts-de-France; sie gehört zum Arrondissement Saint-Omer und zum Kanton Fruges. Renty liegt an der westlichen Grenze der historischen Landschaft des Artois.Renty war Standort einer hölzernen Turmhügelburg, Reste der mittelalterlichen Motte sind noch heute im Dorfzentrum erkennbar. Der Besitz ist im 11. Jahrhundert als praedium Rentica erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Im 12. Jahrhundert finden sich Erwähnungen mit dem Namen Renthi und Renthy. Der Name könnte auf einen Besitzer des Anwesens namens Rentius vielleicht aus gallorömischer Zeit hindeuten.
