Ursprünglich 900 Meter lang, hieß der Damm von Bray-Dunes zuerst das Hotel "Nautique" willkommen, und danach entstanden die vier ersten Villen "Suzon", "Hortensia", "Thérésa" und "Marguerite".
Obwohl am 31. Januar 1953 eine Flutwelle das Werk hinwegspülte, bildet es heute mit seinen 1200 Metern die Verbindung zwischen der Dune du Perroquet und der Dune Marchand, sehr zur Freude der Spaziergänger.
Das Denkmal der 12. motorisierten Infanteriedivision in der Mitte des Dammes bei dem Ort "la rotonde", der Lesetisch mit den Worten des Liedes von Alain Souchon "le baiser" und die Gedenktafel der Operation Dynamo verschönern den Spaziergang.
